THE ST. ROCCO EUROPEAN ICONOGRAPHIC MUSEUM
Capriati al Volturno (CE) – Italy-
The European Iconographic Museum in honor of St. Rocco has been the fruit of the tenacity and the desire of the Procurator of St. Rocco, Br. Costantino De Bellis, thanks to the efforts of the Parish and of the entire population of Capriati al Volturno (CE). The Museum will not only be an exhibition of the images of the Saint, but a "Little Sanctuary" where visitors feel attracted by the Spirit of God and led to reflect on the holiness of St. Rocco. They may at the same time enjoy the beauties that people have created through art, presenting for our veneration the image of this great champion of charity. We wish that those who visit the Museum will drew from it new life for their faith, and find there a new form of catechesis I the images that bring us to God, centre and goal of our faith. May the Museum become a place of fraternal encounter, of reflection and of fraternal prayer, as we follow the example of God’s ‘great champions’ on earth, the Saints. On October 28, 2006, this project became a reality, with its inauguration and blessing given by His Eminence Jose Sanchez of the Holy See. The Procurator invites all who have not get visited the Museum to do so, and not miss this emotional occasion.
